Bio
Ms. Anis has been a part of the department for
many years and has had the opportunity to coordinate
and supervise clinical assignments, teach undergraduate
and graduate courses, and participate in a variety
of university and college programs. In addition
to her degree in
speech-language pathology, Ms. Anis completed a
master's degree in public administration at Northeastern
University to support her interest in education
and health policy and administrtion. She has an
appointment to the School of Education here, and
assists students in obtaining the clinical experiences
that will support their applications for the Massachusetts
Educator License. Within the university, Ms Anis
has been the consultant for speech-language development
for the Russell Call Children's Center and a facilitator
in the Physican's Assistant seminars in Problem
Based Learning. Within the community, she has supervised
students in a local preschool program, and provided
community in-service presentations.
Ms. Anis has the primary responsibility for locating,
maintaining and evaluating off-campus clinical placements
for students in speech-language pathology. In association
with placements, she has developed seminars which
involve the off-campus site supervisors, alumni,
and professionals from other disciplines from within
the community and university. As
Administrator of Continuing Education programs for
the department, she develops activities which support
life-long learning and provide continuing education
units and professional development points for our
off-campus supervisors and the speech-language pathologists
in the area.
