Bio
Sarah Young-Hong is the Clinical Director of
Speech-Language Pathology services in the Department
of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Northeastern
University. Prior to joining Northeastern, Sarah
worked as the Clinical Director of a multidisciplinary
team of therapists at Easter Seals Massachusetts,
in addition to providing direct services to school-age
clients, and adults in Day Habilitation programs
and skilled nursing facilities. During her time
in this role, she created policies and procedures
to ensure organization-wide recognition of the supervision
and training requirements for Clinical Fellows (CF)
in Speech-Language Pathology. CF experiences were
enhanced by provision of administrative supports,
clinical networking meetings, and continuing education
opportunities. Sarah's focus has been on enhancing
therapists' abilities to implement patient-centered
therapy approaches that consider the patient as
an individual to ensure functional outcomes. Sarah
began her affiliation with Northeastern as an adjunct
faculty member in January of 2007, providing instruction
in the area of Speech Science.
